How to get a COPY of your property DEED ONLINE

A common issue or concern with some clientele that contact us is that they have lost the Deed to thier property or never recieved it from the mortgage company. Although you can sometimes send a request to your local County recorder in writing, you can typically obtain a copy of your property deed online through a title search website that has access to County Title plants and digitized documents.

It is also possible to obtain a copy by paying a visit the local County Recorder's Office in person and search records and images indexed on microfilm or microfiche.

Note that the transfer deed or "vesting deed" will reflect ownership and title interest to the property while deeds of trust serve as a "promissory note" naming the subject property as collateral for the  mortgage taken out by the buyer.
